I was indeed very nervous to try this out. These shades are indeed very suitable for an elder person.
Personally, it's one of the best torsos I've done so far. Like you said, taking it one step at a time!

I think this is one of my favorite of your lady drawings so far. The shading looks very good.
Thnks Heather, I was uncertain since I'm not used to shading and not always like it a well.

I think your experimentation with shading adds depth and adds age to the body. This is a first step to create volume and you are on a right track! I think you shading technique is one that i consider very difficult and this is very brave first step!
